Description
This southern Italian speciality is crafted using sweet, juicy Dottato figs from Calabria. The figs are gently air-dried before being slow-roasted to concentrate their natural sweetness, then wrapped in clean fig leaves and baked once more using traditional methods. The result is a richly coloured, wonderfully dense delicacy with deep fig flavour and subtle notes of liquorice and caramel. Naturally vegan and made with just figs, it’s perfect for cheese boards, pairs beautifully with soft dolce pecorino, and adds indulgent depth to salads or even a scoop of ice cream.
